Adjust stock

Add or subtract stock at one location and safely clear all stock stored directly there.

Use an adjustment when the physical count changed without a movement between locations. A positive quantity adds stock. A negative quantity subtracts stock.

Adjust one article

  1. Open the article from Inventory.
  2. Under Locations, find the location and select +/- Quantity. If it is empty, use the button above the list to show empty locations first.
  3. Check the current inventory shown in the form. The selected row's location is already filled in. You can scan or choose a different Location when needed.
  4. Enter a positive or negative whole number in Quantity. Zero is not accepted.
  5. Add an optional Reason so the activity record explains the correction.
  6. Select +/- Quantity. The app confirms Inventory adjusted successfully.

You can also open a location, find the exact article row under Articles in this Location, and select +/- Quantity. If the article is inside a bin, the action applies to that bin rather than its parent location.

What if no locations exist yet?

Create a location first. Return to the article, show empty locations and add the received quantity at that location.

Why can I not subtract the full quantity?

An adjustment cannot make the physical stock negative. Active project reservations also protect their quantity. The error names the protected project and dates and shows how much is available to adjust. Reduce the negative amount, or cancel or move the reservation before trying again.

Dispose all stock stored directly at a location

  1. Open Locations and open the location.
  2. Under Articles in this Location, find the direct-stock summary and select Dispose.
  3. Review Dispose direct contents? The dialog shows how many article types and items will be removed.
  4. Select Dispose contents.

This sets every quantity stored directly at that location to zero and records the disposal. It also cancels every outstanding reservation for those articles at that exact location, including reservations whose end date has passed. Reservation history that was already archived is unchanged. Article records remain available.

Stock and reservations at other locations are unchanged. Stock inside child locations, such as bins or pallets, is also unchanged. Open each child location separately if its direct contents must be disposed.

What if the stock changed while I reviewed the disposal?

Nothing is disposed. The app shows Stock at this location has changed. Nothing was disposed. Close this dialog and review the current stock before confirming again. Close the dialog, reopen it, review the new quantities and confirm again.

Is disposing location contents the same as deleting an article?

No. Dispose direct contents keeps every article record and affects only direct stock at one location. Delete on an article disposes that article at every location, cancels its active reservations and then archives or permanently deletes its record. See Archive and restore records.

Can I dispose direct contents without a connection?

No. This action needs an active connection.
